Management Team

Linear Gold Corp. has an experienced management team and board of directors with specific expertise in mineral exploration, equity financing, investor relations and public company administration.

Wade K. Dawe / President and CEO

Wade K. Dawe is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Linear Gold Corp. In 2003, he successfully negotiated the purchase of an extensive property portfolio held by Mount Isa Mines (MIM) in Central America, and since then has raised over $35 million for the company. From February 2000 to September 2003, he served as Vice President and a Director of the Corporation.

Mr. Dawe has been an entrepreneur in Canadian mining and venture capital industries since 1994. With extensive contacts in the business and investment banking communities he has worked and consulted for a number of successful publicly traded Canadian companies and has raised millions of dollars in equity financing.

He is a founding shareholder and board member of TSX Venture listed Keeper Resources Inc., a Calgary-based producer of oil and gas, and also serves on the Board of TSX listed Minco Silver Corporation, TSX Venture listed East Energy Corp., and ImmunoVaccine Technologies Inc.

Mr. Dawe has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) 1992. A native of Newfoundland and Labrador, he now resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Brian MacEachen / Chief Financial Officer

A Chartered Accountant with more than 16 years of experience in overseeing the financial management of publicly-traded companies, Mr. MacEachen’s involvement in the mining industry has spanned more than a decade.

While Treasurer with Franco-Nevada Mining Corporation Limited from 1998 to 1999, he was involved in the management of Franco-Nevada’s and its sister company’s (Euro-Nevada) mining royalties and operations throughout the world. Serving as Treasurer of Aur Resources Inc. from 1990 to 1998, he was part of a team that successfully developed and operated the world-class Louvicourt Mine in north-western Quebec and the Andacollo mine in north-central Chile. He has been a director of Avalon Ventures Ltd. since 1998.

Prior to joining Linear, Mr. MacEachen served as Chief Financial Officer for Salter Street Films. In this role, he was involved in the transition of Salter into a successful public company as well as in its subsequent acquisition by Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc.

A native of Ontario, Mr. MacEachen earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier University. He now resides in Halifax.

Philip Pyle / Vice-President of Business and Corporate Development

With more than 25 years of experience in exploration—15 of them in Central America—Phil has successfully negotiated mineral rights agreements with local, state and federal levels of government.

Serving as manager of development, Central American for MIM International Exploration from 1997 to 2003, he was instrumental in acquiring the Ampliacion Pueblo Viejo and Ixhuatan concessions as well as in establishing operations in those areas. As exploration manager for BHP Minerals in Mexico and the Caribbean from 1988 to 1997, he was responsible for the discovery of the Central Inlier gold deposit in Jamaica and developed successful exploration programs in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Dominica and Jamaica.

Mr. Pyle is fluent in Spanish and holds a Masters degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelors degree in Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College.

Dave Rowe / Vice-President of Exploration

Mr. Rowe is an economic geologist with 20 years of international exploration experience in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Central America and the western United States. Mr. Rowe has worked for nearly a decade with large multinational exploration companies including BHP Minerals and MIM Exploration, and more recently Mr. Rowe has spent the last several years working for TSX listed mineral exploration companies.

Mr. Rowe has served as Linear Gold’s Ixhuatan Project Manager since January of 2006, and prior to that he was Linear’s Dominican Republic Exploration Manager. He has combined his knowledge of porphyry systems and related deposits with a strong background in three dimensional modeling. Mr. Rowe is responsible for all aspects of exploration and development of properties in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Mr. Rowe, who is fluent in Spanish, holds a Master of Science degree in Structural Geology and Igneous Petrology from the University of Wyoming and a Bachelors degree in Geology from the University of Montana.

Terry Christopher, Ph.D. /

Terry has a Ph.D. in Geochemistry and a BS.c. (Hons) in Geology from the Dept of Earth Sciences, Memorial University of Newfoundland. He has diverse experience in the resource industry including mining and oil and gas sectors in both Canada and the USA. He has held positions as geologist/geochemist for a number of companies as well as a technical analyst for an institutional fund manager. Prior to joining Linear, Terry was the VP of International Projects for a small successful metals recovery firm. A native of Newfoundland and Labrador, Terry now makes his home in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Miguel Angel Miranda-Gasca, Ph.D. / Senior Exploration Geologist

Miguel has over 30 years of experience in exploration for metallic and non-metallic minerals in Mexico. He has a Ph.D. degree in Economic Geology from the University of Arizona, a M.Sc. Degree in Economic Geology from the University of Texas, and he is a Geological Engineer from the National Polytechnic of Mexico.

He has served in senior exploration positions in Mexico for Mount Isa Mines, BHP Minerals, Peñoles, USBorax, VITRO, Minerales Nacionales de México, and the Mexican Geological Survey. He has been a consultant for several senior and junior companies. He has also been a professor of Economic Geology and Geology and Metallogeny of Mexico in The University of Mexico, The Polytechnic of Mexico, and The Universities of Guerrero, Zacatecas, and Chihuahua. Miguel was a key factor in the discovery of Ixhuatán Project, Chiapas, Mexico.

Peter M. Dimmell / Independent Director

Peter Dimmell’s experience in mineral exploration has spanned more than 30 years. He started with Noranda Mining Corporation in Eastern Canada in 1969. Seventeen years later, he left the company to work as an exploration and technical consultant and director/officer with other major and junior mining companies.

Guiding on-site operations from exploration through to production, Mr. Dimmell has been involved in all aspects of the industry, both in Canada and around the world. He has served on numerous boards for public companies and professional organizations and currently holds the title of President for the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.

Mr. Dimmell earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of New Brunswick. Now living in St. John’s, he is a professional geoscientist registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland.

Dr. Michael Gross / Independent Director

A full professor of surgery at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia for the past 14 years, Dr. Gross is also the Medical Director for the QE II Health Sciences Centre Tissue Bank, the largest comprehensive tissue bank in Canada. In addition, he offers consultation to the orthopaedic appliance industry and holds patents on devices in reconstructive orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Gross has served on the boards of directors of two publicly-traded companies. He joined the Linear Gold Corp. Board of Directors in 2002.

He received his degree in medicine from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in England in 1975. He obtained a Fellowship in Surgery in London, England in 1979 and a Canadian Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1981.

Kevin Flaherty / Independent Director

Involved with the start up of several publicly-traded, resource-based companies, Mr. Flaherty is a founding shareholder and Executive Vice-President and CFO of Tiberon Minerals Ltd., a TSX-listed company which discovered and is subsequently developing the 90 million tonne Nui Phao polymetallic deposit in Vietnam.

He serves as President and director of Celtic Minerals Ltd. and is a director of Carpathian Gold Inc. He joined the Board of Directors at Linear Gold Corp in 2003.

Mr. Flaherty holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Administration in Economics from the University of Calgary.

Derrick Gill / Independent Director

Over the past 30 years, Rick Gill has built a successful career as a business leader in both the mining and communications industries. Since 1996, he has held the positions of director and executive vice-president of Voisey’s Bay Nickel Company Limited (VBNC). In addition, he is currently President of JETA, the joint education and training authority which oversees aboriginal skills development and employment related to the Voisey’s Bay nickel project in Labrador.

Mr. Gill was director and executive vice-president of Diamond Fields Resources Inc in 1995-96 and President of Bristol Communications Limited of St. John’s from 1975 to 1995. Over the years, he has served on the boards of numerous charitable and volunteer organizations such as the Innu Healing Foundation, the General Hospital Health Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the St. John’s Board of Trade.

A graduate of the Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) Business Administration program, he resides in St. John’s.
