Ixhuatán Project: One property, several mineralized zones, great district potential

The Ixhuatán Project is a 100% owned property which hosts the Campamento Gold Deposit as well as the Cerro La Mina Discovery, where impressive copper, gold and molybdenum mineralization has been recently intersected. The project is also host to numerous mineralized zones including Laguna Chica, Laguna Grande and the Western zone, as well as other numerous untested high-priority targets. The Project is located in the State of Chiapas in southern Mexico, two hours south of the city of Villahermosa, Tabasco and close to a major highway and power grid.

Following Linear’s acquisition of the project in the fall of 2003, a drill program was initiated in January 2004 and by June 2004, Linear announced its first significant gold-silver discovery, known as the Campamento Deposit. The Campamento resource estimate includes 1.0 million ounces of gold and 4.4 million ounces of silver in the measured and indicated categories, and 0.7 million ounces of gold and 2.3 million ounces of silver in the inferred category, all at a cut-off of 0.50 grams per tonne gold.

The Ixhuatán Project is showing that it has the potential to become a new mining district with multiple deposits and deposit types. The Campamento Deposit and new Cerro La Mina Discovery sit in a 25 X 15 kilometre trend that contains geologic characteristics to suggest additional deposits may be found. An aggressive exploration drill program at Ixhuatán is focusing on;

1. identifying additional gold resources to add to the already identified resource at Campamento,
2. discovering other large ‘Campamento-like’ deposits, and
3. drill delineating the recently discovered porphyry related Cu-Au-Mo mineralization at Cerro La Mina.

In addition to the porphyry mineralization recently discovered at Cerro La Mina, large scale porphyry targets have also been identified at the Cacate zone. An aggressive exploration and drilling program will continue as Linear works towards developing Ixhuatán into a new gold and base metal mining district, hosting multiple deposits.
